Hope of the Nations is a non-profit organization in Kigoma, Tanzania with a purpose of bringing hope to the nations through the knowledge of Jesus Christ and the Word of God. One main goal is to raise up Tanzanians to be leaders and influencers for Jesus in their country. One of the many ways this is done is through the Hope of the Nations Bible College. Only 5% of pastors in the region have any biblical training, so HofN Bible College is training students and pastors to be able to study and teach the Bible. Over 70 graduates and 17 church plants have come from the Bible College so far. A new campus is being constructed to hold more students and train more pastors. The new campus is around 90% funded and over halfway built. This Kilimanjaro hike will help fund the remaining portion of the construction for the new campus.
Each climber is encouraged to raise at least $2000 to go towards the construction of the new Bible College campus. One idea is to find 10+ people to sponsor you 1 penny per foot of elevation of Mt. Kilimanjaro (19,341 ft), which would equal $193.41 per person. All donations are tax-deductible and checks can be made out to Hope of the Nations, with “Kilimanjaro Fundraiser + your name” written in the memo. Credit Card donations can be made through the Hope of the Nations website at hopeofthenationstz.org.
